It’s that time of the year again. DIFFA/Dallas, one of the largest HIV/AIDS fundraising organizations in North Texas providing preventative education and services for children, women, and men affected by HIV/AIDS, has unveiled plans for House of DIFFA, the organization’s largest annual fundraising event of the season. This unforgettable party is a must-attend and tops DFW Style Daily’s list of fashionable events year-round. Last year’s opulent extravaganza transported us to a land where glimmering Arabian goddesses and leather-clad equestrian guards ruled the land. Read on to find out more about this year’s theme, Alter Ego, and this year’s over-the-top event this May!
House of DIFFA: Alter Ego promises guests an astonishing show with surprise guests, elaborate performances, and the hottest fashion trends by Traffic LA, TenOverSix, and Forty Five Ten on the runway. Taking place on Saturday, May 12 at the Omni Dallas Hotel, the event will “shine a light on the hidden half of our personality that helps bring the extraordinary to all of us. Our Alter Ego is what gives us strength when all else fails and our ultimate resort in times of extreme circumstances. This show will celebrate the other self in all of us, our Alter Ego,” said Lee Borchert and Tim Garippa, this year’s event co-chairman.
The evening begins with guests sipping pre-dinner cocktails while strolling through the luxurious silent auction featuring DIFFA/Dallas’ renowned designer jacket collection showcasing donations from well-known local and national designers including, Zac Posen, Belvest, Frame, Robert Graham, Naeem Khan, Veronica Beard, Adam Lippes, Theory, Rodd & Gunn, and many more. This year’s event will be produced by co-creative directors Brian Brothers of Planet Productions, Rhonda Sargent Chambers of RSC Productions, and Densil Adams of D|A Creative, alongside Jeffrey Horn of Triad Event Solutions.
