It’s Finally Cool Out! Transition Your Wardrobe For Fall

The stage between switching out your summer clothes and bringing back your fall wardrobe is always a really awkward transition. You never know whether you should tuck your crop tops away for the winter or keep them out just in case. The weather isn’t quite matching up with your summer clothes but it’s not cold enough to break out your winter clothes. Well, don’t give up your summer clothes yet, here are a few tips on how to turn your summer wardrobe into fall fashion. With these tips, you can incorporate your trendy summer clothes and make them fall fashion forward.

The #majorkey to making the transition between summer and fall is layering. You can take off or add pieces to your outfit to adjust to the weather outside. You can add a trendy leather jacket over your favorite crop top or a short-sleeved shirt and pair it with cropped black skinny jeans. If it gets too hot, you can take off your jacket and still look appropriate.

Another way to layer is by throwing on your favorite fishnet or patterned tights underneath ripped boyfriend jeans, sundresses, or even shorts. It’ll provide a little bit of warmth and coverage but not too much where you’ll want to take them off.

One word, three syllables: cardigans. You can never have too many. Throwing on a cardigan over a crop top or a sleeveless bodysuit can turn your outfit up to a 10. Wear your basic colored cardigans or even go bolder with a printed one. The options are endless!

Adding stylish hats, beanies, scarves, and socks can transform any outfit into the perfect fall attire. Try adding a brown or cranberry colored fedora and a neutral infinity scarf to amplify your summer sundress. Pair it with some brown booties, and you’re ready to slay the day away.

Spruce up your dresses or shorts by putting on a pair of cute ruffled lace crew socks underneath sneakers or booties. My personal favorite is matching a t-shirt dress with some opaque or patterned thigh high socks underneath heels or boots.

So, don’t lock up your summer clothes for the winter yet! There are so many ways to transform your summer wardrobe into fall fashion. Layering and adding accessories like hats, scarves, and socks will be your best friend during the transition between summer and fall.
