Today we have the scoop on Legacy West, the Metroplex’s highly anticipated shopping destination. Not only will the urban destination punch some serious punch in the retail and restaurant categories, but it will also be home to the new headquarters for Toyota, FedEx Office and JCPenney.
Opening this spring in Plano, this is more than your average retail hotspot. Legacy West’s Director of Marketing Victoria Snee gave us details on what to expect and what she’s looking forward to most. Read on for more!
With the grand opening set for March 2, we can finally take a deep breath and prepare for what the West side has to offer. “It’s all about creating a one-of-a-kind experience,” Victoria told us. ”We want to offer our customers a beautiful setting and a place where they can truly enjoy themselves.”
What Victoria calls a “lifestyle shopping center,” Legacy West will feature a range of tenants appealing to the masses.
“We hope they spend the day here shopping, dining and exploring and then relaxing in the evening with family and friends while enjoying an exceptional meal,” she said. Speaking of meals, we can’t wait to taste what the new restaurants are cooking up. From Del Frisco’s to Shake Shack and even Sprinkles, it sounds like the new centre will have a great mix of foodie pleasures.
If there’s something creating a huge buzz, it’s the food hall. Legacy Hall will be home to 20 to 25 different food stalls featuring some of our favorite Dallas chefs, as well as chefs on the rise.
“Legacy Hall will be 3 stories and 55,000 square feet, including a craft brewery and an outdoor venue for concerts, movies, fashion shows and other special events,” Victoria told us. Legacy Hall is definitely more than your average food court.
We all know what we’re most excited for – shopping! Victoria gave us a sneak peek on what to expect when it comes to retailers at Legacy West. Frontgate, the luxury retailer known for its trendy furniture, will be making its first appearance in the Southwest right here at Legacy West. For all of you bookworms out there, Barnes and Noble is set to open its new concept store, featuring beer and wine. Of course, this luxury shopping center will feature many of our favorite retailers such as Johnny Was, Coach, Tumi and Bonobos!
“Every aspect of this project has been exciting,” Victoria mentioned. “To be a part of something literally from the ground up is just thrilling. You truly feel like you are a part of something spectacular. I just can’t wait for everything to open. People are going to be amazed.”
