We always love a powerful mother-daughter duo, and Denise Simon and Mary Bowen are certainly no exception. Simon is an innovative jewelry designer (Blessed Five Times) whose work can be found at Abi Ferrin’s flagship store. Her daughter, Bowen, is the founder of Hipster Baby, a ridiculously adorable clothing line for the anything-but-average kiddo.
Hipster Baby opened their first brick and mortar last December. They’ve also been found at Flea Style in Houston and Dallas, Unbranded & Dallas Cityscape’s collaborative “Innovation for Kids” popup, and Chi Omega Christmas Market. Simon plays an important role in her daughter’s business by helping design and curate goodies for their storefronts and interior décor.
“Every piece in my store has a story, a history,” Bowen said. “I want to be unique and not just another children’s clothing store.”
Hipster Baby sells a variety of handmade and designer children’s clothes that you won’t find in ordinary baby stores. Find a tiny t-shirt of your favorite classic rock artists, or a fringed tank top worthy of Coachella. Check out their array of burp cloth sets, hair accessories, snapbacks and ties. Whatever the occasion, Hipster Baby provide with the goods to keep your kid looking way cooler than everyone else’s, from three months to six years old. You’ll probably wish they carried your size, too!
