Dallas-based designer Esé Azénabor will host a charity runway event in Dallas benefitting My Refuge House next Tuesday, Feb. 7. The non-profit fights for girls who have been victims of human trafficking in the Philippines. Esé’s Woman X Power collection plays into MRH’s theme of empowering women, exemplifying that they can be powerful as well as feminine and fashionable. Esé has previously participated in MRH’s Fashioned for Freedom Runway Show and was inspired to present Women X Power for their cause.
The runway show will showcase Esé’s trademark innovative beadwork, including strong, clean lines and models of all shapes and sizes walking the runway.
Esé typically partners up with a charity for every runway show she has in Dallas. Previously, her team has worked with Ally’s Wish Foundation which provides a last “wish” to terminally ill mothers, and Our Hearts Day Habilitation Center. Esé, a Nigeria native, was so moved by My Refuge House’s mission that she dedicated her 8th collection to empowering female leaders and give a voice to the voiceless.
