In the realm of fast-paced fashion, Sukan Jewelry strives to transform the lives of jewelry shoppers globally. The creations are handmade, one of a kind, using sustainable material where possible and made by women artisans in India. Recently, they’ve created a Personal Jewelry Concierge service to tailor to the specific designs of consumers. Whether your taste is on the minimalist side or more extravagant, Sukan Jewelry’s new service has the perfect array of crafted jewels just in time for the holidays.
Their mission started about a decade ago, with a small group of women who had never worked before and needed support. Since then, they’ve worked towards empowering marginalized women through employment, encouragement, and dedication to sustained success in their own local communities. Each day they continue to curate innovative products and services to keep the revitalization alive, especially with their latest Personal Jewelry Concierge service.

DFW Style Daily: Tell us more about this Personal Jewelry Concierge service.
“The consumer can personalize and customize their piece. We find that specifically with our fine jewelry, women enjoy selecting the stone, finish and size. For example, we may have a design with rubies and diamonds but if someone wants onyx and no diamonds it can be done. This way you get to stay within your budget, preferences and most importantly, be your own designer. It’s a powerful feeling when you put your own creativity to work and make something that is uniquely yours.”
Are there limits on what you can customize?
“We customize pieces that are over $350.”
Your pieces are made by women in India who are being given a chance at financial independence. How did you come up with this idea?
“It has been a life-long dream to start a grassroots project that helps women. This is certainly my passion project and a way of giving back to the place I come from. Being raised in a country where women have had to strive for privileges that we often take for granted in the western world, it has been my personal commitment to make a difference in someone’s life – personally and directly.”
How many women have you been able to help this way?
“We have about 15 to 20 women at a time.”
How long does it take to make a piece?
“It takes about two weeks, but could take longer if a mold has to be made for the piece.”
Hand-crafted with locally sourced materials, the Dallas-based jewelry brand’s mission is to transform fashion and transform lives of women in India one woman at a time – a cause that DFW Style Daily can get behind. Through employment, encouragement and dedication to sustained success, Radhika and her brand are molding strong, independent women from here to India in the form of gorgeous baubles.
