Untapped Festival is coming to Big D this Saturday! Fair Park will become Dallas’ version of a Coachella paradise as doors open at 3.30 p.m. sharp. With over 400 brews from 100 different brewers, an awesome music lineup chock full of national and local artists and this breezy weather – it’s a must-see. Music and beer lovers alike will gather to watch live performances by headliners like TV on the Radio, Kaleo, Bishop Briggs and more. Pssst! Bishop Briggs is our fashion spirit animal.

We rarely say no to music festivities, so we planned few fun outfit ideas for you to wear this weekend – from local retailers! Rounding up the best boho and rocker chic attire was no small task. Feast your eyes on a few of our fav fest ready outfits, perfect for transitioning from summer to fall.

Dragonfly Cape Girl Tribe

The Statement-Making Maxi

Our first pick is a floral maxi dress from N. Henderson’s happy hunting grounds The Gypsy Wagon, ideal for transitional fall weather and for a weekend event as an Untapped. With long flowy sleeves, this statement-making look is far from basic and doesn’t take a ton of effort to put together. Pair the dress with some flat ankle boots and leather tie-chocker necklace and you are ready to go!

Park Avenue Plaid Vest

Not Your Average Layering Piece

For the second look, we visited Galleria Dallas’ Apricot Lane to find this incredibly versatile plaid vest. Wear it with distressed denim and a tee and you have a great alternative to the usual festival layering pick – The Kimono. This vest can be worn in many different ways, layered over jackets and sweaters. Top it off with a pair of pointy plats or thigh-high boots and a wide-brimmed hat – you’ll be Untapped ready!

Jolene Silk Dress

Give Summer The Cold Shoulder

Our next pick is an off-the-shoulder silk dress in dark gray from local Routh Street boutique Rio Ritz. This dress looks exceptional with a thick velvet choker and black booties. Accessorizing is easy with this simple number. Throw on a scarf instead if you get chilly and some opaque black tights.

Velvet Bomber

Bomber Jacket With A Twist

Bomber jackets are huge this season – if you don’t own one by now, you should go scoop one up! The dreamy velvet bomber pictured above was picked out at West Village‘s newest designer destination SHOPSEPTEMBER. It comes in two colors: Teal and Maroon, which are also two of the hottest fall hues! Pair it with high-waisted jeans or a midi dress, but keep it simple. The jacket is the star. It’ll keep you warm after sunset and you’ll look fly in the process.

Peace Love Tee                                             Boyfriend Nero Jean

No Stress Distressed

What’s perfect for a music festival? Graphic tees and distressed denim. Look stylish without trying too hard in these two looks and channel your inner grunge rockstar. Here at DFW Style Daily, we love the idea of being comfortable, yet in style. The Gypsy Wagon wins again with their baggy boyfriend jeans and blissful tank. To make the outfit more festival appropriate add a colorful bandana around your wrist or add a western-inspired leather belt with tucked in tee. A half-tuck is a must. We personally love the micro snakeskin cowboy boots styled here, but you can also go with your favorite pair of converse or Adidas Originals.
