Nasty Gal’s description for this one-piece wonder is on-point. Less work, more play. The online retailer’s Midnight Oil Jumpsuit is a perfect navy velvet and features a plunging neckline with crossover design. Think you can’t wear velvet at any age? Think again. This onesie is encouraging us to break all the rules.

Red plus velvet is daring, we know, but these wedges by street style star/blogger Chiara Ferragni for her new collection are pretty awesome. Wear them with everything from light blue denim to a black velvet slip dress this fall. No one can miss you in these lookers (which come in blue, black and other less daring colors, just for you).

Local cool girl Nicole Kwon has an eye for unique, eye-catching pieces. In her West Village shop are these Mes Demoiselles Vincenzo Pants in Navy, the perfect way to add a bit of velvet in your work-to-cocktails wardrobe. Half-tuck a tee or pair with a ladylike floral top and channel your spirit animal in this look: David Bowie.

Chokers are so flattering. Crush the velvet trend without going all out by sporting a velvet choker. We particularly love this one by Aamaya By Priyanka because of its rose gold-plated crescent moon set with sparkling crystals.

In Texas, fall doesn’t always mean the weather will be cooler. For those hotter days, these crushed pink velvet ankle boots by UK brand Daisy Street are the perfect way to rock a little velvet without melting into a puddle. A-Listers like Gigi Hadid and Kylie Jenner have been pairing velvet boots with dresses and shorts. Toss your hair in a loose ponytail and wing your eyeliner to take this look to the next level.

Mock-neck tops creeped their way into summer attire and have quickly become a favorite of ours. Not a fan of the traditional turtleneck? Meet the mock-neck top. Even if it’s made in jersey, this cut somehow makes us feel a little more sophisticated. Art opening, anyone?! Alice + Olivia answers our fall prayers with this mock-neck lace and velvet top, perfect for any night out or workday upgrade. We, personally, would love it just as much with a pair of mom or a pair with undone hems.

Velvet dresses have become must-haves for stars like Rihanna and Kendall Jenner. We are currently coveting the Wow-Worthy Burgundy Velvet Bodycon Dress by Lulus. With strappy details and an open back, this dress can be worn all on its own or with an oversized jean jacket. Pair it with a skinny or wide velvet choker to go all-out on with this covetable fall trend.

We love everything about this outfit. The curation of this online shop is impeccable. Paired with the blush blazer and matching velvet skinny scarf, this pink number is to-die-for. LOÉIL’s midi-length Lowell Velvet Dress is designed to be loose fitting and probably feels like pajamas, but looks oh so sharp.

The ladies at Dannijo always have their finger on the pulse of what’s hot in accessories. This Vix Velvet Choker Necklace features an oxidized silver-plated brass charm with sparkly Swarovski crystals.  Sisters Danielle and Jodie of the New York-based line effortlessly channel the Stevie Nicks vibe while somehow also being timeless and classy.
