Good Vibes Only At Beehive Fort Worth

We discovered Beehive’s bubbly, bright Fort Worth store online earlier this summer and were hooked. The quirky boutique just screams “good vibes only.” Our store visit was no different! Peering inside, we found disco ball cups, colorful 60s inspired glasses, neon signs and silk bombers. Let’s just say we couldn’t bear to leave empty-handed. I went home with a preppy striped romper, cropped fringe flares, a one-shoulder ruffled bodysuitand orange patterned retro glam sunnies. Here at DFW Style Daily, we decided that just showing you one body suit was not enough; the eclectic shop deserved a closer look.

DFW Style Daily: What made you want to open up shop?

Claire: “Beehive is something I wish I had growing up. I wanted to create a place where I could find both trendy and quirky pieces that you couldn’t find anywhere else.”

Which celebrity’s style embodies the Beehive brand?

“Leandra Medine from Manrepeller just gets me every time, l love her!”

What is your favorite season of fashion?

“I love summer because it embodies Beehive; it’s colorful and sunny. Fall and the holidays are great too because the textures are so rich – we have this amazing velvet pantsuit coming that we can’t stop dreaming about.”

Why Fort Worth?

“I opened Fort Worth after I opened Austin because my customers demanded it for two years straight, they asked for it almost daily. No joke! I’m guessing it’s because we have so many Austin girls that go to TCU and Fort Worth has so many girls that come to UT, so the Beehive base already existed.”

Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

“Growing the Beehive brand – we want it to always be unique and unlike anything else. We are slowly starting to introduce gifts, shoes, and even a little bit of Beehive Home. Basically, we want Beehive to be a lifestyle community that we all share and inspire others to have fun, not just a place to go and shop.”

What is your go-to accessory?

“Shoes! Shoes make the outfit.”

What do you love most about Fort Worth?

“Gah, how do you even answer that?! Fort Worth is so old school and cool without even trying to be, it just has this laid back, awesome culture. Everyone there has been so supportive of Beehive, we wouldn’t be where we are today without them. They also truly keep it funky, our FTW girl loves a statement piece and I love her for it! It makes buying SO fun!”

Where do you source your merchandise from?

“Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and New York. I’m also always scouring Instagram and Etsy for new lines and products.”

Who is your spirit animal?

“My greyhound, Aqua Girl.”
