Making goods that make you feel good is the brand philosophy of southern style sensation, Lauren James. Taking the name of the creator and her biggest motivator, her son Lofton James, nurse-turned-fashion-designer Lauren Stokes launched the Lauren James brand in 2013 and has since grown into a booming business. With a focus on classic items driven by modern styling, Lauren has created an effortlessly unique yet timeless look. We had the pleasure of interviewing Lauren James COO, Lance Stokes, who shared with us his and his wife and business partner’s quality driven brand.

“The mission was and will always be family,” Lance shared with us of the brand’s focused and caring philosophy. “As we saw success, that mission evolved into way more than that. Our mission today is to make goods that make you feel good. If we continue to do that, then I think we accomplished what we initially set out to do: be good examples for our family, which has grown since our inception.”

From tees to dresses to swimwear to anything in between, Lauren James has so many adorable pieces to choose from. The designer is a stickler for quality materials, insisting that each and every piece uses materials that are meticulously sourced and picked, giving their wearers a true product of quality and love. Rather than narrowing themselves to one category of ready-to-wear clothing, the preppy-slash-feminine brand chose to appeal to a variety of shoppers. In a world that’s always growing and an industry that’s always changing with it, they’ve managed to stay true to their original brand values and goals.

We’re excited to announce that the brand has recently expanded outside of its primary location in Arkansas, and into the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Their first storefront opened on June 30, at The Shops at Legacy in Plano, and its first Tarrant County location will be opening in Southlake this month. The brand was looking for a space in Texas to take root and was lucky enough to find not one, but two lifestyle destinations to call home.
“We chose The Shops at Legacy as our first destination because of the wonderful community and atmosphere the center serves and represents,” said Stokes of the location choice. “We then identified Southlake Town Square, and their community, as a perfect fit for our second location. We’re thrilled and honored to be a part of these exciting mixed–use and lifestyle centers.”

The opening of the storefront is an exciting one and gives dedicated Lauren James shoppers the chance to now touch and feel the brand in person. The storefront at Southlake is the perfect addition to the many shops in the chic center, including Anthropologie, Lululemon, and Sephora.
