Longtime friends Amanda Albritton and Jessica Day teamed up to launch fine jewelry line Albritton Day in May 2015 and have been creating gorgeous, 14 and 18 karat gold and diamond pieces ever since. The fashionably dynamic duo will be hosting an On The Rocks Jewelry Event to preview their newest collection this Thursday, June 23 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Stanley Korshak. Guests can enjoy jewelry appraisals, design consulting, jewelry cleaning, sips, snacks, and more!
We’ve been following designer Amanda and her hand-crafted work since the launch of her first line, Amanda Sterett Design, back in 2004. She’s a true design pro, with global experience under her belt (her former line was sold at Anthropologie, Neiman Marcus CUSP, Kate Spade, and more). Her gal pal Jessica is the yin to her yang and a perfect fit, with over 15 years of marketing and PR experience at Watters, Match.com, Amanda’s first line, and more. Designer Amanda describes the Albritton Day woman as someone who’s busy conquering the world (#girlpower); “her style is effortless but on point, and she invests in quality jewelry to keep for a lifetime.”
Amanda’s signature of using uniquely-shaped diamonds gives the Albritton Day collection a unique, hand-crafted feel. Each piece is made to order using locally-sourced diamonds and 14 and 18 karat gold…swoon! The brand also gives back to four charities a year, donating a percentage of sales to those in need.
Launched in January 2016, the duo began selling in Stanley Korshak this spring. “We want you to wear our pieces with a cocktail dress or throw on with a White T and jeans,” said Jessica of the line, “it’s everyday fine jewelry.”
We sat down with the Amanda and Jessica to ask them a few questions. Get to know the jewelry duo below!
DFW Style Daily: Tell us your favorite pieces for ring-stacking and ring-stacking tips!
Amanda: I always like to add as I feel. Some days it’s a single ring or band that I showcase for simplicity, (like the Pulse or Dynasty rings) and other days, I want impact. A band of diamonds (Rise with Diamonds) with a plain band (Unison rings), and a band with more design (like Sundry). I’ve worn 5 of our bar rings at once (Edge, Pierce, and Rise rings), and love the look. It appears like it’s one large amazing ring.
Which celebrity would style the Albritton Day line best?
Jessica: I think Gwyneth Paltrow would look amazing in our Jewels. She is modern and timeless. Her style is chic and simple, the perfect canvas for our jewelry.
Do you have a favorite jewelry piece in this collection and why?
Amanda: Absolutely, the pulse necklace, large. The diamond came from an east Texas mobster named “Curly” back in the 80s. My grandfather was his attorney and it was a gift to him. I inherited it from my dad and it was the first piece I designed. I could wear it everyday with anything.
Jessica: My favorite is the Serpentine ring. I love the linear look with all different shaped diamonds. It is a showstopper!
What song is on repeat in your car right now?
Amanda: Aerosmith’s “Sweet Emotion.”
Jessica: Beyonce’s Lemonade album.
