Dallas Designer Label Binzario Couture Jet Sets From New York To Paris

Despite shifting venues, ongoing controversies and a name change, New York Fashion Week continues to symbolize all that is haute in our crazy fashion world. Twice each year, the Big Apple transforms into a mecca for designers, press, bloggers, and shoppers from around the world. There have been several recent changes regarding the longtime fashion extravaganza. In July, we reported that Mercedes-Benz Fashion week would now be called New York Fashion Week after the Mercedes-Benz pulled out of the event. In December, a new development brought a fresh plot twist to the ongoing saga, as we reported that New York Fashion Week may soon consider a new retail-ready model in the face of mounting concerns about its ongoing viability.

Drama aside, New York Fashion Week – a.k.a. NYFW and formerly known as Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week – has been a hot topic on DFW Style Daily and is still an event we look forward to every year. Representing a major achievement for any designer, producing a runway show during the prestigious event equals a benchmark in the journey of any apparel or accessories brand. Earlier this month, Dallas-based designer label Binzario Couture teamed up with two local accessories lines, Wendistry, and B.A.H.Z, to strut the NYFW runway, representing the Big D in style for the second year in a row. Partnering with two accessory designers, Wendi Wilburn McGowan-Ellis of Wendistry, and Britt Harless Z of B.A.H.Z, the collection was perfectly complemented with hand-painted handbags and nature-inspired jewelry designs.

Known for gala gowns, intricate details, and nuanced neutral palettes, Andre Yabin and Luis Nazario are the talented team behind Dallas-based Binzario Couture. Titled Sunset, the brand’s FW16 collection, inspired by the ombre and gradient color contrast that radiates through the evening at sunset, was showcased at Prince George Gallery. Featuring 20 interchangeable styles bringing daywear comfort to an after-dark look, the collection focused on the designers’ goal to “give a woman power to make her own choices; to uniform a Binzario top with their favorite jeans, bring day into evening with a simple skirt, or dress to the max with a voluminous ballroom skirt.” While their signature style is simple, architecturally streamlined and thoroughly elegant, Andre and Luis go out of their way to create lasting couture design experience and the couture of clients’ dreams.

“We count it as an honor to present our collection again at NYFW. The feeling is so surreal. We are honestly still processing the whole experience,” said Yabin, following their second NYFW show.

Binzario Couture is set to present its Sunset collection to fresh eyes in Paris at Les Salons Hoche on March 5 during Paris Fashion Week. The Dallas-based designers will also host a post-show in Dallas, “A Walk into the Sunset” at 6:15 p.m. on April 27 at The Space Dallas. The event will benefit the Autism Treatment Centers of Texas. Tickets range from $65 to $100 and can be purchased online here.
