Anticipated like no other fashion or philanthropic event in the Metroplex, the annual gala of the Dallas chapter of Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA) presents one-of-a-kind, celebrity-designed jackets, auctioned to a crowd of our city’s most stylish guests. A seated dinner, over-the-top runway show, and cocktail party round out the black tie evening.
Formed in 1984, DIFFA’s signature fundraising event debuted in 1989. With each passing year, the bar is raised on this most glamorous occasion, while raising funds for the cause. Always front of mind is DIFFA’s mission to support the fight against HIV/AIDS “by drawing on the contributions of world-renowned creative and corporate leaders representing all branches of the design-related industries.” To date, DIFFA Dallas has granted more than $6 million to over 25 frontline AIDS Service Organizations in North Texas.
Returning to downtown’s posh Omni Dallas Hotel on Saturday, May 21, 2016, this year’s DIFFA Dallas gala is once again presented by Headington Companies, along with its retailers and The Joule Hotel. Helmed by Board Chair Justin Bundick and Event Chair Clint Bradley, House of DIFFA: Circo Rouge will come alive onstage in a runway spectacle produced by Co-Creative Directors Rhonda Sargent Chambers of RSC Show Productions and Brian Brothers of Planet Productions. Some 2,000 guests are anticipated, and all proceeds will go towards grants for HIV/AIDS service organizations in North Texas.
