A true passion project of Dallas-based Against The Grain Productions, Fashion For A Passion will mark its seventh year on November 7. This anticipated annual event celebrates the work of Asian-American artists and designers while “cultivating creativity for a cause.”

Taking place on the seventh day of November at 7 For Parties in the Dallas Design District, we recently detailed the coming lineup of Fashion For A Passion 2015. The event’s signature fashion show and live auction will again be hosted by LeeAnne Locken and Elizabeth Dinh, plus newcomers Tiffany Hendra and Ben Smithee. Another new aspect brings a diverse group of Asian-American musical acts to the stage, including Larry g(EE), who will open and close the show.

“The marriage between fashion and music has always fascinated me,” said g(EE) when polled about his upcoming runway performance. The award-winning pop-soul artist, a longtime friend of DFW Style Daily, is known for his signature laid-back style. “I’m a carefree spirit when it comes to what I wear on stage,” he detailed. “…I’m not a follower. Regardless of whether I’m wearing a tee shirt, denim jacket, or a suit, as long as I’m comfortable, I’m going to own the stage.”

Beautiful singer-songwriter JONAVI will also serenade guests at Fashion For A Passion 2015. A native of the city of Cebu, Philippines, the Dallas resident is currently at work on her debut album. As to her personal style, JONAVI explained, “Fashion is important, and just like music, it is a method by which I can express myself. My outfit always needs to be accented by something unique, whether it be the silhouette of a top or the style of my shoes.”

We also look forward to an energizing set from contemporary Electronic Dance Music (EDM) group Yut and The Hot Four. Expect a suit and bow tie from the dapper front man of that group. Duo Robbie G and Peter P will likely also express their style in suits and ties, as the pop-acoustic team feels that dressing well brings “confidence and flair” to their presence.

Completing this stellar lineup are two up-and-comers. At just 19, KassyLevels has already been performing on the local circuit for four years. As she cultivates her own personal combination of pop, R&B, and EDM, her personal style is also a unique mash-up of glamour and comfort.

Last but certainly not least, Hannah Sansavath, 2015 ATG Artistic Scholarship Winner, is another emerging name to note. The lovely native Texan plays multiple instruments, and specializes in both classical and traditional Thai music. As to her style? “Simple yet elegant,” Sansavath explains. “As a classical musician, I aim to convey the classic, romantic, and polished nature of music, not only through my playing, but also through the way I dress.”
