Bottoms Up, Dallas! Burlesque Brunch Hits Deep Ellum This Sunday

For Dallas foodies and fun-lovers alike, brunch is so much more than just a meal. Premiering this Sunday, a brand new way to enjoy our city’s favorite form of weekend eatertainment hits Deep Ellum. Read on for the scoop and bottoms up!

In a match made by none other than burlesque superstar Vivienne Vermuth (pictured above), Bottoms Up! A Burlesque Brunch represents the hot hook-up of two local loves. Combining live entertainment from top burlesque performers with a sinful brunch, the series kicks off this Sunday, October 18 at The Prophet Bar in Deep Ellum. After getting to know Vivienne intimately earlier this year, we can attest to the fact that her Broads and Panties troupe will serve up a tantalizing weekend treat, indeed.

“Be ready for old-fashioned glamour, larger than life personalities, and moves that will make you blush,” Vermuth teased of the shows to come. “It’s an adult way to laugh, poke fun, feel good, and experience a little sex appeal. I’m thrilled to bring the brunch series to our audience, and even convert a few burlesque virgins.”

First up, expect high-flying aerials and over-the-top costumes in keeping with a circus theme this Sunday. Performers include Chess Shires, Ella Ardour, Shelbelle Shamrock, Janie Slash, Kitty Martini, and the incomparable Ms. Vermuth. And, as if those hot dishes weren’t enough, the menu will include Chicken & Waffles, French Toast, and Eggs Benedict by Texas Tapas. The new Deep Ellum newcomer will also showcase its American Dream hot dog-donut hybrid. Insert wisecracks here.

Bottoms Up! A Burlesque Brunch takes place at The Prophet Bar, 2513 Main Street in Dallas. Following this Sunday, October 18, additional events are planned for November 15 and December 20. Click here for more information and to purchase tickets.
