There is no doubt in this longtime fashion reporter’s mind that The Pin Show represents the very best independent designer showcase in the Metroplex. Returning February 20, 2016, the eighth installment of this annual event promises to continue its tradition of high production quality and serious cool factor. For designers wishing to participate, the time to apply is now.
Helmed by Founder and Executive Director Julie McCullough, Producers Michelle Nguyen and Tracy Harwood, Creative Director Mike Arreaga, and Runway and Talent Director Willie Johnson, The Pin Show 2016 production process is already underway. The event will return to downtown’s The Bomb Factory, again filling the state-of-the-art venue with live music, onsite shopping, mixing and mingling, and a professional runway showcase of independent designer collections.
All of the above will attract some 1,500-plus guests, including dozens of media, bloggers, and photographers. The Pin Show also partners with trusted brands and top-tier sponsors, and utilizes professional runway talent. For an emerging designer, or established independent brand wishing to take business to the next level, The Pin Show is an excellent strategy.
Designer applications are now being accepted for The Pin Show 2016, with an October 29 deadline for initial forms and fees. Thereafter, second round interviews will take place later this fall, with final selections set to be announced by late November. Click here to apply for The Pin Show 2016.
