Devils in Prada, Teen Queens & Blue Steel: West Village Hosts Fall Film Series

There’s no better time than fall for outdoor fun in Dallas. Seriously, kids, get outside now before another heat wave or snowpocalypse. The next few weeks represent patio perfection, and Uptown’s West Village shopping center will add to the al fresco atmosphere through its Outdoor Movie Series.

Kicking off tomorrow night, four film favorites will roll out on Wednesdays in the South Alley of the West Village, near the intersection of McKinney and Lemmon Avenues in Uptown. Projected high for all to see, the screen sits in view of prime patio real estate at Mi Cocina, Taco Diner, and more. Guests are also encouraged to bring blankets and chairs for movie-viewing picnics with take-out eats and sips from surrounding restaurants.

Live entertainment will precede each film. The Dallas Film Society will then take over with several gems we know by heart, including Pretty Woman, Clueless, and that most juicy piece of fashion industry fiction, The Devil Wears Prada. Not to mention, Zoolander is also on the roster. Can you say Blue Steel? The fun begins at 7:30 p.m. each Wednesday for the next four weeks. Screenings are free; no outside food or beverages allowed.
