The Shops at Park Lane Charts Massive Expansion: Adds J. Crew, F21 Red & More
|
The Shops at Park Lane has recently undergone a facelift and it’s more than just cascading buildings and beautiful landscaping that looks brand new. Since last year, the 33.5-acre mixed-use development has seen a wealth of exponential growth — citing a 166,000 square-foot expansion adding a central park component, and a five-story office and retail building.
Expansion plans for The Shops has been well underway during the course of the last year, with multiple phases reaching completion. From interactive water features to two new freestanding restaurants, The Shops’ new atmosphere invites families to relax, shop, and dine, all the while enjoying the open space and its newly-introduced signature events.
Providing even further options to its retail component, The Shops will add Forever 21’s new concept, F21 Red this fall, and J. Crew Factory, the outlet concept from J. Crew, this July.
“We continue to look for retailers that are best in class and perform at a high level,” says Ward Kampf, president of Northwood Retail. “Forever 21 and J. Crew Factory are a great match for our growing mix of popular name brand outlets, value retailers and full-priced stores. Today’s shopper looks for brand names at a lower point, paired with unique dining and entertainment options.”
F21 Red is set to be housed next to Old Navy, occupying a 19,600 square-foot, two-level space, and categorized as one of the first of its kind in Texas. Popularized for its youthful apparel and affordably low prices, the new Forever 21 concept will feature similar trend-inspired staples, but at even lower price points. Think $1.80 for a camisole and $7.80 for women’s denim. Now that’s fast fashion!
J. Crew Factory on the other hand, will find its home spanning 7,000 square feet in the new office building adjacent The Park. Featuring wallet-friendly deals on men and women’s apparel, this newest retail addition is yet another claimed first for Dallas shoppers.
Adding just another notch to an already impressive list, The Shops is now introducing Movies in the Park – a series of free films every Friday night in June. Guests are invited to lounge at The Park and recline under the stars, all the while watching a movie on the big screen. Movies in the Park begins at 8:30 p.m., with the schedule as follows: June 12 – “Jurassic Park,” June 19 – “Zoolander,” and June 26 – “Despicable Me 2.” More information and updates on The Shops at Park Lane can be found at www.parklanedallas.com.
