Hey, kids! Love theater? Love fashion? The Dallas Children’s Theater invites you to create an original design for its upcoming season opening production of Fancy Nancy: The Musical. Read on for the scoop.     Featuring the captivating creations of Emmy-nominated costume designer, Lyle Huchton, the Dallas Children’s Theater will soon stage its 31st season premier production. Entitled Fancy Nancy: The Musical, it will showcase the spirited adventures of the star of Jane O’Connor and Robin Preiss Glasser’s New York Times bestselling book series, as well as a cast of fun-loving characters. Those supporting scene-stealers are the focus of the DCT’s Fancy Nancy Costume Design Contest, namely Mermaids and Sharks. Budding young designers are invited to create two-dimensional original costume concepts for either ocean-going sidekick, using their favorite art supplies. The most important instruction? Let your imagination run wild!     Contest entries will be accepted through July 10th, and all will be displayed in the DCT's lobby for the entire season. Icing the cake, two Grand Prize Winners will see their designs come to life on the stage - and more!
