Conceptually hailed as one of the top designers in accessory design, the award-winning Eddie Borgo label is one marked by true craftsmanship, architectural aesthetic, and superb imagery. Winner of the CFDA Swarovski Award in 2011 for Innovation in Accessory Design, and co-recipient of the first ever CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Tiffany & Co. Development Grant, Eddie Borgo has dramatically changed the way we accessorize our lives. A true pioneer in the industry, Eddie Borgo will visit Neiman Marcus NorthPark Center on Saturday, May 9, showcasing his Spring/Summer 2015 collection and greeting guests as they shop his new luxe designs.
“My collection is really a continuous study in geometric classicism; architectural and graphic shapes are always something I have been attracted to,” the designer notes. “I am most inspired by Modern Art. My favorite artists include Tony Smith, Sol LeWitt, Robert Morris, Dan Flavin, Donald Judd, and Richard Serra. I appreciate Art as structure.”
Formally founded in 2008, the Eddie Borgo label has already established a stronghold within the industry. Personally commissioned to create jewelry for fashion greats Marchesa, Joseph Altuzarra, and Proenza Schouler, Borgo immediately sky rocketed to the forefront, now selling his pieces in over 200 luxury retailers worldwide and in the highest of demand.
Neiman Marcus NorthPark Center will host the designer on May 9 as he reveals his newest collection and meets with guests. The collection, often associated with “desert style,” is one stamped by linear elements, dramatic angles, and futuristic cuts of mixed stones in pink leopard jasper, zebra, and a milky quartz just to name a few. The appearance takes place from 1 – 4 p.m. and RSVP’s are not required. For more information and complete location details, please visit our Event Calendar.
