Returning for its long awaited spring installment, Dallas Comic Con is known for amassing tens of thousands of fans whose obsession with the world of comics, sci-fi, horror, and gaming, rank well above the supernatural. A massive entertainment convention presented by FAN EXPO, Dallas Comic Con’s bi-annual editions pack out the Irving Convention Center with several days chockfull of family-friendly activities, celebrity appearances, and out-of-this world shopping of all the latest in geek gear.
Dallas Comic Con’s upcoming FAN DAYS event will head up the FAN EXPO series in mystic style, adding new celebrity appearances and ultra-competitive costume contests to the already heavy line-up. Make sure to mark Saturday, February 7 and Sunday, February 8 on your calendar for this can’t-miss extravaganza. With tickets selling quickly, only a few weeks remain to secure admission to one of the largest comic conventions to hit the DFW metroplex.
DFW Style Daily will stylishly grace the scene at this year’s Comic Con capturing unique coverage of not only the most buzzed about stars in paranormal Hollywood, but all of the up-to-the-minute pandemonium surrounding costumes that only the imagination could dream. We’re already geeked for the big reveals on the CosPlay red carpet, and even more intrigued to catch a glimpse of a Power Ranger, or two.
For 2015, the event returns adding new faces to the mix. John Barrowman of Arrow and Colin Baker from Doctor Who are slated to make appearances, while The Walking Dead’s Melissa McBride and Star Trek’s Nichelle Nichols are already brewing up excitement. Guest appearances from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Princess Bride, and The Nightmare Before Christmas add more spice to the line-up, making this the place to see or be seen as a pop culture fanatic.
After your initial excitement wanes, get your adrenaline pumping again by shopping rare comic book finds and sci-fi propaganda, engage in interactive Q&A sessions with your favorite celebs, or witness sketch duels by some of the top comic artists in the industry.
“Dallas Comic Con Fan Days will be a weekend celebration of fandom and a part of that is connecting our fans to their heroes with exciting question and answer panels,” says Ben Stevens, Dallas Comic Con Show Director. “Fans can expect rare holodeck stories from Star Trek’s iconic Nichelle Nichols. And you never know what will happen when three of the stars of the TV series Arrow get in front of the microphone.”
It’s full steam ahead for this massive superhero invasion with Gold Passes to this event already being reported as sold out and 2-day passes going just as fast. Tickets are available for purchase online and also at the door. For more information and tickets, visit www.dallascomiccon.com/tickets/ or head to our Events Calendar for more details.
