Event Recap: Girls’ Night Out Rocks Belk Galleria Dallas

Last Thursday, October 9, Belk at Galleria Dallas buzzed with a most beautiful crowd in celebration of Girls’ Night Out. The special event gathered old friends and new, Belk devotees and first-time shoppers, to experience fall’s hottest trends live and in person. Read on for the scoop.

Starting at 6 p.m. on the big night, the spacious Level Two women’s emporium at Dallas’ brand-new Belk Flagship store started humming as a live DJ set to spinning. Wine and craft beer began to flow as a very stylish crowd filed into the fashion-filled space, and mingled around a custom-built runway.

Shopping, sipping, tweeting, and posting filled the moments leading up to a 7 p.m. show. Many guests also took a moment to snap a pic with Belk Fashion Director, Arlene Goldstein, the woman behind the must-have style statements set to be showcased.

Local trendsetters spotted in the crowd included Savvy Stylist Dawn Mellon, Oh So Cynthia’s Cynthia Smoot, Actress LeeAnne Locken, Mindy Loll of SaviorLuxe, Fashion Group International of Dallas Board Members Jennifer de Socarraz-Fleming and Britt Harless, social scene grand dame Yvonne Crum, Alex Small of Small 4 Style, Belk Personal Shopper Charmaine Marshall, and Galleria Dallas Stylist Holly Quartaro.

Dallasites also mixed and mingled with visiting Louisiana-based superstar blogger Brighton Keller of Brighton The Day. The young beauty represented featured brand, 1. State, which would soon highlight the finale scene of the show.

And what a show it was! Produced by Rhonda Sargent Chambers’ RSC Show Productions, the high-energy runway presentation was narrated by Arlene Goldstein and DFW Style Daily Editor, Lisa Petty. Three expertly-styled scenes expressed Goldstein’s top three style statements of the season, including:       Rebel Rebel A passion for moto jackets, plaids, chokers, mixed metals, studded and belted ankle boots, and over the knee boots are just a few of the key looks that make this trend so exciting.                 His Is Hers With a feminine twist, borrowed from the boys has never looked better. Recast classics and a man style mash-up equal a quirky kind of coolness.                   Complex Simplicity New proportions, shape shifts, and new age tailoring define this ultra-modern message, featured in looks by 1. State. Textiles are innovative, and patterns go graphic.               Following the show, the party rocked on, with handbag and jewelry giveaways and plenty of shopping (hello, 20% storewide discount). Guests were spotted scooping up styles from the show by Trina Turk, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, Jessica Simpson, and 1. State – just to name a few.

The evening concluded, albeit reluctantly, with many hugs and promises to return to one of our new favorite Dallas shopping destinations. No doubt about it, Belk knows how to throw a party. From all of us at DFW Style Daily, a big thanks to the fabulous team at Belk, and we’ll be seeing you again soon!   All photos herein, credit Shana Anderson Photography.
