In the world of Metroplex indie boutiques, Accents is an oft-shared insider secret source for accessories. The two store mini-chain has been building brand loyalists steadily over the past eight years, and a move in progress will soon place Accents’ Dallas location in a strategic new neighborhood.
Launching first at Uptown’s West Village shopping center in 2006 (pictured above), and later spinning off a sister store at Southlake Town Square, Accents stocks gently-priced, on-trend women’s costume jewelry, handbags, and fun fashion finds. Like a candy shop for savvy style seekers, the boutique boosts buzz with frequent sale events and cocktail hour parties. Accents is not shy about offering deep discounts, and friendly customer service and an active social media presence sweeten the deal.
Announced just yesterday, Accents will depart its original West Village corner storefront near the intersection of Blackburn Street and McKinney Avenue this Saturday, August 16. By Monday, September 1, a new location, a few exits north on I-75 at Mockingbird Station, will debut.
This move places Accents near the SMU campus and right on top of a main hub for Dallas-area public transportation. Mockingbird Station also boasts stores beloved by Accents’ key demographic, including Urban Outfitters and Francesca’s Collections. In fact, the new Accents will neighbor both stores in the shopping complex in this new “bigger, hipper, and better than ever” space.
We predict this northward move will be a positive one for our longtime favorite, and we look forward to visiting Accents at 5331 E. Mockingbird Lane, Suite #170, very soon. For more information, visit AccentsStyle.com.
