We love a list, and a (Secret) Local List is even better. Today, DFW Style Daily’s exclusive series continues with hot picks from Jenn Cruse of Blownaway.

Syncing her passion for polished style with her tech expertise, Jenn Cruse parlayed experience with online giants Oracle and LinkedIn into her current “dream job” with Dallas-based Blownaway. With the site and app’s July launch, women across the Metroplex gained access to on-demand, on location hair and make-up services. And Cruse was hailed as a hero by Big D’s famously well-coiffed crowd.

Leading Blownaway’s marketing team as General Manager, as well as the company’s “Social Butterfly” ambassador program, Cruse is committed to bringing the service to glamorous girls around the country in months to come. For now, she’s focused on delivering elite area stylists to local doors. This influential innovator is already immersed in the unique initiatives Blownaway will be offering for fall’s non-stop social season, but in the meantime, she’s revealing the Dallas hot spots that top her list of summer “do’s.”

Foodie Favorite: Confessing to indulging her cravings at Dee Lincoln Steak & Burger Bar, today’s local expert notes, “It’s my go-to for a comfy, relaxed atmosphere, paired with some of Dallas’ tastiest cuisine. I always order the filet mignon and Brussels sprouts.”

Go-To Boutique:L. Bartlett is one of my favorite shopping spots,” enthuses Cruse of her top West Village shopping spot. “The jewelry selections, gorgeous dresses, and colorful blouses make you wish you had an unlimited budget.”

Artistic Addiction: Calling out a home goods haunt that’s fast becoming a (Secret) Local List staple, Cruse cites Mecox as her fave décor destination. She explains, “The amazing staff makes me feel like I’m on the set of Cheers – minus the drinks of course! It is a great place to snag accessories, gifts, vintage furniture, and more.”

Best Buys: “I hit The Blue Jeans Bar for amazing denim steals. They carry more than 120 different designers, and I don’t know another boutique that offers great jeans and great drinks,” notes Cruse of another clothing connection. She adds that she’s also a Kendra Scott loyalist when searching for well-priced, bespoke bling.

I Heart Dallas: Finally, this busy beauty spends her off hours enjoying the delights of downtown Dallas. Cruse concludes, “I’m a regular at the free boot camps at Klyde Warren Park, and I adore introducing others to the Meyerson Symphony Center. I’m always awed by its beautiful architecture and incredible acoustics.”
