Nectar Girl Founder Brian Bailey Picks Cool Dallas Spots For Food, Fun & More
Known for entertaining friends with clever cocktail creations, Dallasite Brian Bailey didn’t intend to start a top-shelf trend. When his beverages became a sought-after commodity, however, he turned the experiment into an entrepreneurial adventure as the co-founder of Nectar Girl.
Through his line of all-natural, healthy drink mixers, the SMU grad has created a local phenomenon that’s now building a national following at retailers like Central Market, H-E-B, and more. Today, we’ll get to know the man behind Dallas’ latest “it” girl, and we’ll find out where Bailey himself is imbibing and socializing this summer.
Foodie Favorite: Bailey is addicted to a famed Uptown dive when it comes to culinary cravings. He raves, “I love The Loon! The off-menu Pasta Francesco is my favorite meal anywhere, anytime.”
Shopping Spot: Confessing to retreading a beloved pair of Lucchese Caimans “at least five times,” today’s expert laughs, “I definitely keep it simple, but I hit Nordstrom NorthPark Center for Citizens of Humanity jeans, Robert Graham swimsuits, and Lucchese boots, of course.”
Creative Connection: “I tend to mix vintage with contemporary, and I like the unique finds at Antiques Moderne and Mecox,” Bailey states. He cites his parents’ penchant for passing down family pieces as the inspiration for his at-home style.
Best Buys: The craft cocktail aficionado gets savvy when stocking his own bar. He notes, “Total Wine is the best stop for inexpensive spirits, and I’m an unabashed fan of Stein Mart for glasses and barware.”
I Heart Dallas: Finally, for a coastal feel right here at home Bailey recommends the Dallas World Aquarium. “I’m most at home on the beach, so the Dallas World Aquarium is usually my go-to for guests and local friends,” he says of the downtown gem. “It’s small but impressive, and you can cocktail while you tour!”
