Julia Roberts & Ellen Degeneres Crush on Shoes by Dallas’ Office of Angela Scott
They may not be dancin’ shoes – at least, not ‘til she breaks ‘em in – but Ellen DeGeneres was pleased as punch with the gift of a pair of Dallas designer Angela Marie Scott’s Mr. Presley Oxfords last week. The bearer of the fabulous footwear? None other than Julia Roberts. Click below to check it out:
Thanks to Raya Ramsey of ShopTalk, we were clued into this clip, representing just about the best dual celebrity shot-out possible for any indie designer. The national, televised recognition will surely bring great buzz (and a great sales boost) to The Office of Angela Scott, a Victory Park gem spotted by our own Heather Lettieri in 2012.
Scott’s shoes combine menswear details and impeccable craftsmanship, the antithesis of cutesy, fast-fashion confections. Inspired by her Grandfather, the designer describes the influence of her muse as, “a symbol of strength and love, fashion and character, the four corners of where my style originated.”
Current women’s designs by the Office of Angela Scott include Miss Penny striped loafers ($346), Mr. Miller perforated suede sneakers ($525), and the now-celebrity-endorsed Mr. Presley bicolor Oxfords ($495). But that’s not the half of it. To shop the collection and learn more, visit TheOfficeofAngelaScott.com.
