Father-Daughter Duos to Model For a Cause at “Light The Runway” on May 15
Light The Runway 2014 event chair Janet Fresquez hints that guests should “expect a few surprises” at this year’s fashion show fundraiser for Dress For Success Dallas. Consider our curiosity peaked!
Taking place Thursday, May 15, among the manicured gardens of the Faye Briggs Home, this upcoming fête will mark a charmed third year for Light The Runway. Live music and a lively cocktail party will set a stylish scene for local father-daughter pairs strolling a poolside catwalk. Texas broadcasting legend Scott Murray and Hard Night Good Morning skin care founder D’Andra Simmons will emcee. Select images from last year’s event are featured herein.
Light The Runway emphasizes the positive impact men can have in the lives of their daughters. In this spirit, 2014 model duos will include football star Ryan Neufeld and his young daughter Bryn, Stubbs Davis and daughter Landry, Vaughn and Gig Miller, and Rick and Rachel Fresquez, among many others. The endearing pairs will model looks by retailers such as L. Bartlett and Nicole Kwon for the ladies, as well as Rye 51 and Brooks Brothers for the guys, in a production by Harriet Kelly Gibbe.
Proceeds from Light The Runway 2014 will further Dress For Success Dallas’ mission to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women. Dress for Success is an international non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of women, located in 110 cities in a dozen countries. Since 1997, the organization has served more than 650,000 individuals, worldwide.
We at DFW Style Daily are proud to support Dress For Success Dallas. Light The Runway 2014 sponsors include Deep Eddy Vodka, Fluffpop, Katydid Collection, The M Group Events, M.Pulse, TXU Energy, West Village Shopping Center, and Paciugo Gelato.
