Alexander Wang X H&M Drops November 6th
HuffPo’s heart has skipped a beat, and Refinery 29 confirms with a virtual pinch that fast fashion fans weren’t dreaming upon this weekend’s announcement that Alexander Wang is next up to collaborate with H&M.
Set for a November 6th unveiling in some 250 stores, Wang’s will mark the first collaboration with an American designer for the Swedish fast fashion chain. Currently heading his own eponymous line, plus manning the helm of luxury house Balenciaga, Wang broke the news via Instagram video yesterday while attending the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
WWD reports that the upcoming range will include apparel for both men and women, plus accessories, though Wang was mum when pressed for further details on the looks. Revealing little to reporter Lesley McKenzie, he would only say, “There will be a new element of lifestyle offering that's a completely new way of approaching the collaboration, but it is too early to give away.”
Mysterious, indeed, though we can report that the aforementioned video hints at a sports-centric theme. No matter the flavor, however, it’s a sure bet that fast fashion devotees will hungrily devour this next serving of bargain priced designer-approved goods - see Versace, Marni, etc. For our part, we’ll wait as patiently as possible for a look book, and try not to get ahead of ourselves.
