As we continue our anxious countdown to the upcoming Dallas Vintage Clothing & Jewelry Show, today’s vendor profile will spark the interest of any fan of stunning statement accessories.
Returning March 21 – 23 to the Addison Conference & Theatre Centre, the Dallas Vintage Clothing & Jewelry Show will feature dozens of vendors both local and national, offering vintage clothing, fine and costume jewelry, and much more. Last week, we took a look at what Antiques Roadshow star Steven Porterfield has in store, and today’s profile features a gem of a dealer coming to Big D from the Windy City.
Kimberly Oliva of Estate Chicago is set to offer a tempting selection of wearable art from the 1890’s to the 1980’s. Following years as a general antique dealer, Oliva launched her specialty business when sparked by a new interest in Czech glass production and the Arts and Crafts and Art Deco movements.
The resulting mix defines the term statement jewelry. Oliva’s earrings, bracelets, and necklaces are all head-turning unique, whether the work of well-known designers such as Miriam Haskell, or one-of-a-kind artisan couture pieces. Examples from the current Estate Chicago collection are featured herein. Like icing on the cake, Oliva’s prices are also quite tempting.
The Dallas Vintage Clothing & Jewelry Show takes place Friday, March 21, Saturday, March 22 and Sunday, March 23 at the Addison Conference & Theatre Centre at 15650 Addison Road. Friday’s Preview Reception, including early buying, benefits Children at Risk ($25 admission advance, $30 at door). Thereafter, regular admission on Saturday and Sunday is just $10.
