Miss Earth Dallas Pageant Seeks Contestants With A Cause
|
Coming soon to our fair city, the Miss Earth Dallas pageant will celebrate local beauties passionate about eco-friendly causes. Now in their fifth year, the Miss Earth and Miss Teen Earth programs are new to Dallas in 2014, currently accepting contestant applications. The big event will be hosted by show producer extraordinaire and DFW Style Daily contributor, Rhonda Sargent Chambers.
“It is wonderful to have a pageant competition that focuses on young women who are passionate about helping raise awareness about environmental issues, but most importantly, supporting the efforts of sustainable, reusable, and recyclable products with sponsors who are motivated to do the same,” says Chambers. “These young ladies dedicate themselves to volunteering for the common goal of keeping our world a cleaner place. This pageant focuses on topics that teach these women to support one another, as well as the communities in which they reside.”
If these qualities strike a chord, and you are a Metroplex resident age 14 – 27, you could be the next Miss Earth Dallas or Miss Teen Earth Dallas. Pageant directors Allen Davie and Crystal Lomeli of the Wilhelmina Bazaar Agency emphasize that applicants must be prepared to discuss an environmental platform as part of the judging process. Winners in each category will then represent the Dallas area at environmental events and fund raisers throughout the year, also advancing to compete in the Miss Earth Texas and Miss Teen Earth Texas pageants.
Application deadline is Tuesday, April 15. Please visit MissEarthDallas.com for additional information, requirements, and online application. All photos, courtesy of Miss Earth Dallas.
