Ranked among the city’s leading innovators in 2013 as a Dallas BIG Influence honoree, Sara Madsen Miller is an established trend spotter and creative talent. By day, she channels her visual expertise, elite corporate experience, and relentless energy as a principal with 1820 Productions. When she’s off duty, the executive producer indulges her playful side while perusing Big D’s best fashion venues.
Today, we’ll reveal how this charming game-changer is going for gold this fall, and why Miller’s simple style secret has become a shiny obsession. Click here for more DFW Style Daily Obsession Confessions!
The Obsession: Addicted to accessories that complete a well-rounded look, Miller confessed a craving for haute hoop earrings.
The Confession: Of her opulent obsession, today’s expert notes, “I love hoops, and I’ve snapped up more than 40 pairs in every conceivable color and shape. There are so many sizes, you can’t just have one!”
The Rationalization: “After leaving ‘Corporate America’ for a creative role, I adopted a more laid-back style,” Miller explains. “I finally let my hair flow in all its bodacious, big, curly glory, but as a result, you could no longer see my earrings! Hoops helped rescue my style, because fantastic earrings are like kryptonite to lackluster fashion.”
The Collection: The media maven takes a high-low approach to her acquisitions, enthusing, “My favorites are Simone I. Smith’s Precious Fruit diamond hoops in rose gold, and an incredibly inexpensive pair I scored at Sam Moon.”
Shop It: We’ve rounded up Miller’s posh picks, plus a few pretty pairs we’re coveting this season. Snag the fabulous finds pictured here as follows (clockwise, from left): Julie Vos brushed gold hoops, SWAG ($45), India Hicks geometric hoops, Ylang 23 ($475), Amanda Sterett woven hoops, Stanley Korshak ($195), Sam Moon studded hoops ($5), Simone I.
