Tucked away in a quiet corner of Dallas’ trendy Uptown neighborhood sits Krimson & Klover, a women’s boutique housed in a quaint Victorian home. A local staple for a decade, last Wednesday, October 23, the shop celebrated its 10-year anniversary with a backyard bash that drew in quite the crowd.
Founded by two sisters, Kathryn and Kristin Anderson, and later passed on to current owner Lindsey Harrison (below, second from right), Krimson & Klover is one of the oldest independent clothing boutiques in Dallas. Today, Harrison focuses on unique and affordable fashions that customers won’t find elsewhere in town. Her selection includes Los Angeles-based designers, with more still coming from London and Australia. She has also achieved a new level of national attention for Krimson & Klover with the launch of a full online store, and plans are in the works to open a second location in 2014.
Billed as an “epic block party,” Krimson & Klover’s anniversary fête was quite the event. In addition to plenty of shopping inside the store, dozens of area vendors set up tables outside, allowing guests to discover even more local goodies. Among the tempting line-up we spotted favorite clothing and accessories designer Ashley Burghardt of Ashard Richley and Uptown salon hotspot Blaine’s Dallas. A special raffle also benefited The Wilkinson Center, a multi-faceted organization providing disadvantaged families with tools to help them become self-sufficient. Finally, wine courtesy Crú Wine Bar kept spirits high while a live DJ pumped crowd favorites all night.
Krimson & Klover adds new inventory weekly. Stop into the store (3111 Cole Ave., Dallas) or visit online at KrimsonandKlover.com.
