Canada’s Silver Jeans Co. Hits Stonebriar Centre October 26th
|
Following recent and welcome cool fronts, another breath of fresh air is blowing in from the north. In fact, the extended outlook forecasts major Texas developments from Canadian denim label, Silver Jeans Co.
Joining recently debuted outposts in The Woodlands near Houston and McAllen farther south, Silver Jeans Co. will open its third Texas retail store at Frisco’s Stonebriar Centre later this month. The loft-style space will combine features both vintage and modern, including rustic wood paneling, heritage photography, and a six-foot media wall displaying streaming video. Such varying design elements drive home the brand’s unusual 100-year history.
Founded in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1921, Western Glove Works outfitted Canadian workers in leather goods and dungarees. In the decades to follow, its reputation for quality opened the door to manufacturing jeans for bold-face labels including Wrangler, Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs, and Victoria Beckham. In 1991, Western Glove birthed spin-off Silver Jeans Co., focusing on the mid-priced, fashion-conscious denim market.
Today, Silver Jeans Co.’s collection hits all the major women’s denim trend sweet spots. Styles include slims and skinnies, boyfriends and bootcuts, as well as bright colors and creative textures like brocade and snake. All ring in at under $100, with the same price point and similar wide selection available for men. Accompanying tees, button-downs, jackets, and hoodies are affordable everyday staples. Look book styling (pictured above and top) reflects a bohemian sensibility.
Of note, Silver Jeans Co.’s very first style was called the Frisco, a smash hit with some two million pairs sold. Perhaps this hints at a perfect match for Stonebriar Centre shoppers? Time will tell when Silver Jeans Co. makes its debut on October 26th. In the meantime, visit SilverJeans.com to browse.
