DFW Style Daily: How would you describe your personal style?
Charlie Price: “My style is feeling-driven. Some days, I’ll wear a tee shirt and denim, sometimes a suit and tie. My feeling changes from day to day.”
Name a person who helped to shape your style perspective.
“No one single person or style influenced my day-to-day look. I get very inspired walking the streets of New York. People there are never afraid to push some buttons when it comes to style, and they’re always putting great pieces together.”
Do you have any wardrobe items that are especially meaningful to you?
“There is a lot of vintage influence in my closet. When I wear vintage pieces, I often think about how the person before me wore it in the era in which they lived.”
Let’s head back in time for a moment. Do you remember a favorite ‘first day of school’ outfit?
“I was a good Catholic school boy, and uniforms were always required.”
What was the first item of clothing you remember purchasing for yourself?
“I will never forget saving up my allowance for a pair of Z. Cavaricci jeans. I loved them, and I am still laughing as I answer this question.”
Do you follow any hard-and-fast wardrobe rules?
“I think that all style and wardrobe rules are meant to be broken. If it feels good and looks good, I am going to roll with it!”
Do you have any personal fashion pet peeves?
“My biggest fashion pet peeve for guys is probably flip-flops, or those giant sandals that look like water skis on your feet. I see this all over the place – in bars, restaurants, and nightclubs.”
How did you feel when you learned you had been named one of Galleria Dallas and DFW Style Daily’s Best Dressed 2013?
“I was extremely flattered. Style recognition is not something you strive for, however, being noticed is a huge compliment. This event places me in great company, and I am excited to be a part of it.”
What aspect of this program is most significant to you?
“Although I was excited for a fun evening, the real purpose of this event is to raise money for two great causes in Dallas Can Academies and the Suicide & Crisis Center of North Texas. What’s better than giving back?”
