  DFW Style Daily: How would you describe your personal style? Ariel Saldivar: “Timeless, classic elegance. Less is more.” If your best friend were to describe the way you dress, what would she say? “Modern vintage, with a lean toward emerging designers. Plus, a twist of whimsy and edge from someone who pays no attention to trends.” Name a person who helped to shape your style perspective. “Audrey Hepburn, for her timeless elegance, and Diane Keaton for her individuality.”  

  What was the first item of clothing you remember purchasing for yourself? “I remember buying a vintage Dior jumpsuit from Goodwill when I was 14 years old. Score!” What item in your closet do you reach for time and again? “My vintage Japanese kimono.” Do you follow any hard-and-fast wardrobe rules? “It’s all about balance, and expressing your individuality.”  

  Did you ever adopt a passing trend that, in retrospect, you might reconsider? “I don’t usually follow trends, but I do remember rocking MC Hammer pants! Also, I would reconsider crimping my hair.” What aspect of the Galleria Dallas & DFW Style Daily Best Dressed 2013 program is most significant to you? “I love that fashion is a lifestyle, and that it can create and tell a story about a person. I am excited that Galleria Dallas and DFW Style Daily have come together to celebrate individuality, and support two great causes! I am honored to be a part of this project.”
