Those in the fashion know will recognize the name Carine Roitfeld. The former editor of French Vogue is a smoky-eyed staple of glossy style pages, and always quick with a quotable quip. Opening Friday in Dallas and Plano, the new film Mademoiselle C explores Roitfeld’s influential career and new ventures.
Fabien Constant directed a star-studded cast for the effort, all fans of this modern fashion icon and creative force. Cameos are made by Donatella Versace, Karl Lagerfeld, Tom Ford, Alber Elbaz, Diane von Furstenberg, and many more. And if most cast member names don’t ring a bell, a peek at the trailer teases enough human interest for even non-couture-obsessed audiences. To wit, concurrent with the launch of her new magazine CR Fashion Book, Roitfeld also becomes a new grandmother. Quelle surprise!
