Kate Spade Debuts New Dallas Store on Knox Street

The placement may be curious, but Kate Spade’s new Big D outpost offers all the signature color-splashed whimsy you’d expect from the label, once you pass through the front door.

Open just two weeks at 3120 Knox Street, Kate Spade New York sits in a row with On The Border, Crate & Barrel, and The Mattress Firm. The freestanding space builds on the brand’s existing North Texas presence at NorthPark Center and Paragon Outlets in Grand Prairie.

Inside, a black-and-white chevron striped floor accents a front room filled with bright totes, bow-accented pumps, and enamel bangles. Pass through to room two for dresses, denim, fragrances, and a sitting area complete with a full-length mirror. Throughout the jewel box-like boutique, playful flourishes – neon Lucite display signs, fashion-related library books – evoke the brand’s signature style.

In-store now are items from the current Kate Spade collection, including an irresistible faux leather disco shopper and leopard “Charm” heels ($198 and $328, shown below).

Knox Street regulars will note that this spot was most recently occupied by Original Octane, now relocated around the corner on Travis Street. Though the décor and gift-heavy strip is hardly predictable territory for a new designer women’s boutique, Kate Spade delivers a fun break for neighborhood browsers and buyers alike.
