Balvenie Whisky To Exhibit Artisan Clothing, Furniture In Dallas

Celebrating fine craftsmanship in the areas of clothing, furniture, food, and more, the Balvenie Rare Craft Collection comes to Dallas on September 10th and 11th as part of a six-city national tour. The free exhibition is tailor-made for discerning gents, complete with tastings of the host brand’s single malt whisky. We have a feeling, also, that fashion-loving ladies’ curiosity may well be peaked.

Curator Todd Snyder, a CFDA award finalist and GQ Magazine Best New Menswear Designer honoree, has collected a number of specialized artisans for the Balvenie Rare Craft Collection. Among those we look forward to viewing in Big D are Doyle + Mueser bespoke suiting, Optimo Fine Hats, Golden Bear Sportswear, and furniture by Danny Kamerath.

Amber Doyle and Jake Mueser’s menswear shop is located in New York City’s Greenwich Village. Since the opening of Doyle + Mueser, the pair have collaborated with filmmakers, private clubs, and well-known designers. Shown here (above, left), is a hand-finished suit of English worsted wool.

Hailing from Chicago, Graham Thompson of Optimo Hats (pictured below) counts Robert DeNiro and John Lee Hooker among fans of his one-of-a-kind creations. Also a celebrity favorite, California’s Golden Bear Sportswear (pictured at top) has dressed the likes of President Bill Clinton, Denzel Washington, and The Grateful Dead in vintage-inspired outerwear.

Finally, from here in Dallas, furniture designer Danny Kamerath will also showcase his work at this unique event (above, right). Additional features will include handmade guitars and leather goods, pottery, bicycles, and much more. All exhibitors promise passionate spirit and impeccable taste.

The Balvenie Rare Craft Collection will show at The Hickory Street Annex (501 South 2nd Avenue, #200, Dallas) on September 10th and 11th from 6 – 10 p.m. For RSVP details, please visit our Events Calendar.
