When queried about her personal style, Matthews proves to be a true Cali girl at heart. “I’m very relaxed,” she explains. “I like things that are girly, but not too girly.” Her art, however, expresses a range of aesthetics, from a chic model in a ‘50s-inspired frock to whimsical, candy-colored shoes.   Matthews believes her art is ideal for display in the dorms or first apartments of young women such as herself.
