As with many holidays – if not more so – the Fourth of July is a great opportunity to show some spirit with your fashion, decorative, and dining choices. Here at DFW Style Daily, we always want to know how Dallas’ most stylish are planning to celebrate. Today, eight distinctly different but equally fashionable folks, plus one tiny trendsetter, share their favorite ways to rock red, white, and blue. Get ready for some fireworks!

Amber LaFrance
President and Executive Publicist, CultureHype

“I’d style a basic tee with a red or passion fruit blazer like this one by McQueen, plus dark skinny jeans, a statement necklace (or two!) and heels. Why I dig it? It’s so versatile! I have a similar blazer I bought a while back from Forever 21, and I wear it all the time with jeans, suiting, a printed scarf, or a statement necklace.”

Eric Renteria
Owner and Designer, Etiquette Vintage Designs

“I actually love red, white, and blue any time of the year. As a child, my mother would always make me something to wear during the Fourth of July in our nation’s colors. Our neighborhood has a parade every year, and even our dog always has a patriotic ribbon tied to his neck! As I have grown older, I still celebrate our country daily by wearing something on my blazer, sweater, or shirt. Currently, I am wearing lapel flower pins, and I alternate colors between the days. I love this company, and they are so easy to take care of and keep my vintage style up to date.”

Holly Forsythe
Owner, Sambuca Restaurants

“Since I am owner of Sambuca Restaurants, a fun-filled restaurant and bar with live music seven nights a week, I always love great cocktails! I especially love to entertain at my home for the Fourth of July, because you can see fireworks shows from my backyard from all over Plano and Dallas. I chose this Coconut Blue Hawaiian because it not only has the red, white, and blue patriotic colors, but it’s a cool and refreshing way to beat this Texas heat!”

Mary Mirsky
Wardrobe Stylist

“Shoes, not diamonds, are a girl’s best friend! However, shoes with a little bling are never a bad idea either. I love these red, white, and blue crystal Lesilla heels simply because they are an outfit all by themselves. They’re the perfect blend of edginess and femininity. All you need is a white V-neck and dark wash denim, and you’re ready to head out and celebrate the Fourth of July!”

Freddy Duran
Creative Strategist/Brand Management, Walton & Polk

“These are my choices for the gents on the Fourth of July. I took my inspiration from a photo of a businessman in the ‘70s or early ‘80s, keeping it cool and casual in red, white, and blue gingham. I updated his look a bit with a slimmer tie and a badass pair of Chucks.”

Anokhi Shah
CEO, Shah Social Media & Social Media Director, DFW Style Daily

“Blue is a beautiful patriotic color to wear this fourth of July. I love this adorable ombré studded denim shirt. I would pair it with any white shorts or jeans. I’d carry a colored clutch with this outfit to add a pop of color, like this bag by Clare Vivier. Finally, I’d add some dainty jewelry pieces like this cute arrow necklace.”

Jennifer de Socarraz-Fleming
Fashion & Style Specialist

“When it comes to outfit planning for that Fourth of July party, those who are fashion-conscious, like me, tend to roll their eyes a little. I’m a proud American, but unless you’re trotting around in nothing on but an American flag bikini, finding the perfect look while withstanding triple-digit weather can be quite the struggle. This year, I’m going with these cool flag platforms by Irregular Choice. Throw on a tank and a pair of cut-offs over your bathing suit, slip on the aviators, and finish it off by strapping these bad boys on. You’re now ready for any BBQ, pool party, or fireworks extravaganza. Patriotism never looked chic.”

Mario Abad
Visual Merchandiser

“I’m obsessed with this American flag tank from Urban Outfitters. It’s the perfect casual item to wear to all your Fourth of July festivities, because it’s simple yet versatile. During the day, I would wear it with a pair of bright red shorts, and then layer it with a denim vest and my favorite white jeans for watching the fireworks at night. It’s the perfect statement piece to celebrate the holiday!”
