ShopTalk we learn of a surprising departure from one of the most buzzed-about recent additions to the Dallas retail scene. Co-founder Dana Card is leaving
Number One/Le Jus in Highland Park Village, and the café-plus-boutique will now be known simply as Number One.
Reported by our own Heather Lettieri last November, the Number One corner store address was originally a soda fountain some 80 years ago. New last fall, Number One/Le Jus, aimed to put a fresh twist on the same community vibe.

Combining a selection of designer clothing and gifts curated by co-founder Brian Bolke of
Forty Five Ten, with an organic menu designed by Dana Card (
pictured below), the store developed a loyal following in just a few months.

The shop’s café business will now be helmed by local juice company
Vim + Vigor, reports ShopTalk’s Raya Ramsey. Card, meanwhile, will return to full-time nutritional counseling.
