Yummie Tummie Puts The Squeeze On Spanx
It will take more than a little spandex (groan) to contain this unwieldy feud between two rival shapewear companies. Patent infringement is the claim of Heather Thomson (above), founder of Yummie Tummie, against Sara Blakely of Spanx, and the legal letters are flying. The products in question include a selection of bulge-busting tanks and camisoles, but to the naked eye, the figures are in Blakely’s favor. Spanx was founded in 2000 to Yummie Tummie’s 2008, but Thompson is taking a firm stand. “We will not allow Spanx to bully us,” reads a letter now marking the Yummie Tummie homepage.
