NorthPark Center Hearts Canada!

Did you know that more than 400,000 Canadians visit Dallas/Fort Worth each year? That adds up to nearly $350 million dollars in revenue for local hotels, restaurants, attractions, and more. Our neighbors to the north, in fact, are the second most popular group of international tourists in Texas. In other words, we have quite a number of reasons to show our thanks.     Beginning this Friday, NorthPark Center kicks off Canada Appreciation Month to do just that. Says Anthony Wilkinson, the shopping center’s Director of Tourism, “We want to extend a warm Texas welcome while showcasing North Texas as a destination of great shopping, food, and culture.” Festivities and offers will include an opening celebration on Friday, February 1st at 10 a.m. in NorthPark’s South Court, featuring a fashion show, musical performance, and raising of the Canadian flag. Event partners including the Adolphus Hotel, the Warwick Melrose Hotel, and the Rosewood Mansion On Turtle Creek will offer “shop and stay” packages complete with NorthPark gold. What’s more, discounts for Canadian visitors will be available at top area attractions such as the Nasher Sculpture Center and Texas Discovery Gardens.       For more information, head to VisitDallas.com and NorthParkCenter.com.   (NorthPark images via NorthParkCenter.com; Canadian Flag via AllFlags.Blogspot.com)
