Premiering January 24th on Lifetime, Project Runway returns for an 11th season with a fresh group of emerging designer contestants. Among this cycle’s 16 hopefuls, Dallas’ James Martinez will throw his hat into the ring.

Adding to the impending drama, teasers reveal a tweaked title, Project Runway Teams, to accompany an all-team-challenge format. Uh-oh.

Devotees of the reality show will note that periodic team challenges have historically resulted in knock down, drag out clashes between contestants. And more often than not, when it comes to an episode’s runway showdown, team members are asked to serve up one another for axing by the judges.

What’s more, another twist will come in the form of judge Zac Posen. Listed alongside returning host and judge Heidi Klum, beloved mentor Tim Gunn, and returning judge Nina Garcia, the celebrity favorite designer is a new addition to the cast.

Maintaining a relatively low profile here in Dallas, James Martinez helms the line Barron & J.  Fellow Texan Daniel Esquivel of Austin will also compete on Project Runway Teams.

In addition, we’re also following Amber Perley of Pearl Southern Couture, who will join the upcoming Season 2 cast of NBC’s Fashion Star. Join us in rooting for these talented locals as the coming season unfolds.
