DFW Style Daily Fave to Compete on Fashion Star While current details are slim regarding the upcoming second season of NBC’s Fashion Star reality competition show (no official website updates, as yet), we can report that one of our favorite Dallas designers will be among the next cycle’s hopefuls. “To have been selected from thousands of applicants was such an achievement and honor,” says Amber Perley of Pearl Southern Couture. “The exposure of my clothing line to a national audience is every designer's dream.” Featured here at DFW Style Daily many times over the years, Perley is a driven, business-minded young talent. We’ll be pulling for her when Fashion Star premiers on March 8th at 8 p.m. In the meantime, visit PearlSouthernCouture.com to explore Perley’s Southern-inspired designs (pictured above).       Test Your Stones Style Smarts Jumpin’ Jack Flash! In light of declining ratings, creator Simon Cowell is reportedly dumping Britney Spears from the American judging panel on The X Factor. According to an “unnamed insider” quoted in the Los Angeles Times, she failed to bring the crazy. Okay. Meanwhile, over at the Mirror, we learn that he may be tapping supermodel Kate Moss to join the UK version of the show as a style consultant. Another anonymous source quotes, “Kate could give the contestants advice and ideas on how they want to look and also how to look after themselves and still look great in the years ahead.” Of note, no cast changes have been confirmed at this time.       Rowley Sounds Off to Racked Finally, color us intrigued by designer Cynthia Rowley’s proclamation, “Trends are not relevant anymore.” Polled by Racked for her 2012 year-end thoughts, Rowley also called out “uptight traditional editors” as a current fashion buzz-kill. On the positive side, she’s bullish on Goop and Girls. Click here for the full, fun interview.     (Image credits, from top: 1. PearlSouthernCouture.com, 2. Showbiz411.com, 3. Standard.co.uk.com, 4.
