Headline Round-Up

Target & Neiman’s Holiday Collab Drops Saturday Without a doubt, the juiciest headline on shoppers’ lips today is tomorrow’s arrival of Target and Neiman Marcus’ much-hyped holiday collection. Dropping Saturday, December 1st, the 50-plus item range boasts gifts by dozens of big-name designers, including Marc Jacobs, Diane von Furstenberg, Tory Burch, and Jason Wu. Spanning women’s, men’s, children’s, and home departments, it goes on sale at Target stores, Neiman Marcus stores, and both retailers’ websites concurrently. If you plan to shop in person, arrive early and brace for a crowd. Can you say creepy?       Wang Steps Up At Balenciaga Finally, hot off the presses via WWD, Alexander Wang will soon be named the new Creative Director of Balenciaga. Filling the post vacated by longtime C.D. Nicolas Ghesquière, the article suggests that this appointment may indicate a desire on the part of the Paris-based house to “open up to a broader audience.” We expect exciting things from Wang at Balenciaga in seasons to come, and the still 20-something designer will also maintain his individual label.     (Image credits, from top: 1.
