Much like the towering heights of his signature platforms, Dallas’ love affair with Christian Louboutin seems to know no bounds. Whether headed for the sidewalks of Highland Park Village, or the polished parquet of a ballroom floor, many here in Big D feel never fully dressed without a final flourishing flash of red sole.   Known for hallmarks including spike heels and silver studs, the über cobbler seems to have stepped out on his usual femme fatale muse - for a moment - in his latest collection.

  Treated to a preview of the Christian Louboutin Resort 2013 range, we were delighted to note several single-soled styles (example above). Handbags and totes popped in upbeat colors, some taking their cue from Pantone’s Spring palette.
