It’s been just over a year since
we introduced you to Shona Gilbert.
New to the scene last fall, the dynamic blonde jewelry designer made a splash when she was selected as a headlining local artisan during the Dallas Museum of Art’s breathtaking Jean Paul Gaultier retrospective.
Thereafter, with trendsetting appetites whetted for her striking, statement-making creations, Gilbert’s jewels began appearing on many of the most fashionable necks and wrists in town. Her work was also showcased on numerous runways as the designer herself entered into a prolific creative period.
Of note, at a
trunk show hosted by DFW Style Daily’s own Rhonda Sargent Chambers this May, Gilbert unveiled a stunning array of opulent new necklaces, earrings, and more. At Neiman Marcus downtown, we marveled at scores of crested and bejeweled chokers, gemstone bracelets, and Gilbert’s signature “reformed vintage” items.

Now, on the cusp of a new fall and holiday season, the designer has just launched e-commerce via her website,
www.byShona.com. What’s more, in addition to enabling point-and-click shopping, Gilbert will soon embark on a national Neiman Marcus trunk show tour.

After kicking-off here in town at the
Shops at Willow Bend (November 8th and 9th) and
NorthPark Center (November 24th), she’ll hit Neiman’s locations in Florida, California, and Las Vegas. Whether you’re able to meet-and-greet (and shop) in person, or via her new online shopping cart, we recommend exploring Shona Gilbert’s designs as you plan your holiday list.
Here’s to this talented and unique local treasure and her continuing success!
