Jewish Family Service of Greater Dallas To Open Resale Shop

According to Jewish Family Service of Greater Dallas, “When you give good stuff, we can do great things.”

Indeed, some of the best fashion treasures to be found in our fair city await discovery at charitable resale stores. In turn, these purchases make for feel-good shopping, benefitting the good works of each organization.

We were thrilled to learn this week of JFS’s plan to launch a brand-new resale shop in January of 2013. Sure to be stocked with goodies galore, the new door will be located at 2120 East Beltline Road in Richardson.

Funds raised will directly support the programs of JFS, including family violence intervention, emergency assistance, support for those with special needs, and more. All services are available to everyone, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or ability to pay.

Beginning now, donations of gently-used clothing, accessories, shoes, housewares, and additional items will be accepted to stock the store. Donations should be dropped off at 5402 Arapaho Road in Dallas, between 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. on weekdays. For more information and details on arranging a pick-up, visit JFSDallas.org/donate-items or call 972-437-5300.

Sounds like the perfect prompt for a pre-holiday closet clean-out! Congrats to the JFS, and we’ll keep you updated on opening details as they are available.
