Updates: Saint Laurent Paris and Christian Dior at Highland Park Village

With notable additions including Akris now open for business, and upcoming doors like Brian Bolke’s Number One/Les Jus clicking right along, we’re still drumming our manicured fingers in anticipation of Saint Laurent Paris’ long-delayed debut at Highland Park Village.   Earlier this year, we shared insider info that the dark, Louboutin-neighboring storefront would remain as such for quite a while. Citing the departure of Stefano Pilati from his post as Creative Director at the famed French design house, and the subsequent naming of new CD Hedi Slimane, our source reported that Saint Laurent Paris (née Yves Saint Laurent) desires all new stores to reflect the aesthetic of the new head designer. In the case of Dallas, this redirection will take a few more months.     This week, DFW Style Daily received confirmation from the Highland Park Village marketing department that Saint Laurent Paris is now scheduled for a Q1 opening in 2013.   Meanwhile, those hammering and sawing sounds from behind the façade of the former Cooter’s camera shop are signs of progress at Christian Dior. While no official opening date has been set, construction has started on this designer addition to the Village. We’ll keep you updated on developments.   As a wise man once said, the waiting is the hardest part.
